Setup Guide

From signup to your first competitor briefing, in about five minutes.

This is the exact onboarding flow you'll walk through when you join PeekWise.ai — five short steps, no installation, no credit card. Here's what each step looks like and why it matters.

1
Step 1 · ~1 minute

Create your free account

Head to the signup page and create an account with your email and a password, or use one-click Google sign-in. There's nothing to install and no credit card at any point during setup — the free trial is genuinely free.

Your account is secured by Firebase Authentication (the same identity infrastructure used across Google's own products), so we never store your password ourselves.

2
Step 2 · ~1 minute

Tell us about your business

Pick your industry (hospitality, home & trade services, personal care, health & wellness, or local retail) and enter your business name and location. That's all the context the system needs.

Your industry and location matter more than they look: they tell PeekWise which review platforms carry the most weight in your category — restaurants live and die on different platforms than HVAC contractors do — and which nearby businesses are plausible rivals.

3
Step 3 · ~30 seconds

Add your own business (optional)

You can track your own reviews alongside your competitors'. We recommend it: it's what unlocks the side-by-side view — your rating, your complaint themes, and your praise signals compared directly against every rival, every week.

In a hurry? Skip it and add your own business later from settings. Competitor monitoring works either way.

4
Step 4 · ~2 minutes

Add the competitors to monitor

This is the step that matters most. Add the rivals you actually compete with — the free trial tracks 2, and paid plans go up from 3 to unlimited. For each competitor, enter their business name and paste their Google Maps link (any Google Maps URL or share link works — we auto-locate the business from it). Adding their Yelp link too is optional, but it helps us match their Yelp reviews exactly.

Not sure who to add? Start with the two businesses that come up when your own customers say "we almost went to…". You can add, remove, or swap competitors at any time as you learn where the useful signal is.

5
Step 5 · ~30 seconds

Choose your plan

Pick the free trial to start — no credit card required. Starter ($49/mo) tracks 3 competitors, Growth ($99/mo) tracks 8 and adds real-time alerts and opportunity scoring, and Pro ($149/mo) covers 3 locations with unlimited competitors and API access.

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time, and during early access PeekWise is free while we finish rolling out billing.

After Setup

Then the system takes over.

The night after you finish onboarding, PeekWise runs its first collection: it fetches the public Google and Yelp reviews for every competitor you added, and the AI reads all of them — scoring sentiment, grouping complaints and praise into named themes, and building the baseline it will measure every following week against.

From then on the pipeline runs automatically every night, and on Monday morning your first briefing lands in your inbox: a plain-English summary of what happened in your competitors' reviews, which themes are rising, and three specific actions to take that week. Reading it takes about five minutes; everything deeper is waiting in your dashboard.
